Mission Statement

     Washington Montessori School will work to have an inspiring enviroment for children to develop inner discipline, self-assurance, and  a love of learning.  The uniqueness of each child will be respected by helping each child to develop skills at periods of greatest readiness and sensitivity.

     Our students will learn to view themselves as contributing members of a diverse global community.  We will respect and value differences, and look with an open mind at all members of the community, seeking to understand and value them for who they are.  The staff, the parents and the children will communicate clearly and openly and treat each other with honest and mutual respect.

This mission will be accomplished by:

• Adhering to Montessori theory and practice as defined by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI)

• Fostering involvement of parents, teachers, students and the larger community.

• Educating parents, teachers and the commnity about the Montessori Method.

Washington Montessori School

     We have been serving the Washington community for over 30 years!   Our methods have been proven to be the most successfull form of education for young children.

     Our students learn not only math, language, geography, and bottany but also practical life and sensorial (the senses).  Montessori education excells in helping the child to master control over him/herself thus leading to leaps in education.

     We follow AMI principals and encourage parents to learn all they can about this amazing method of learning.
